The BEST Foundation is a nonprofit organization committed
to providing schools and their community partners with the
necessary information, materials and guidance to effectively
implement Project ALERT, a skills-based substance abuse prevention
curriculum for middle grade students.
BEST works with superintendents, principals, substance abuse
prevention coordinators, curriculum administrators, counselors
and youth-serving organizations to encourage school-wide or
district-level adoption of Project ALERT, and to encourage
implementation fidelity through training and on-going technical
assistance.
The services of the BEST Foundation are funded through multi-year
grant commitments from the Conrad
N. Hilton Foundation.
